Getting from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre & Impiana KLCC Hotel

The journey from the airport to the city centre is approximately 60 km and typically takes 40–70 minutes, depending on your chosen mode of transport and traffic conditions.

Option 1: KLIA Ekspres + Taxi or e-Hailing

This is the fastest and most reliable option for most delegates.

  1. Take the KLIA Ekspres from KLIA or KLIA T2 to KL Sentral (approximately 28 minutes).
  2. From KL Sentral, take a taxi or an e-hailing service to:
    • Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
    • Impiana KLCC Hotel

Estimated total journey time: 40–50 minutes.

Option 2: Direct Airport Taxi or E-hailing Services

This is a convenient option if you prefer a direct transfer from the airport to your hotel or the venue.

Airport Taxi
  • Book your taxi at the Airport Taxi Service Counter in the Arrival Hall after collecting your luggage.
  • Proceed to the designated taxi pick-up area once your booking is confirmed.
  • No mobile app is required.
E-hailing Services (Grab, Bolt & AirAsia Ride)
  • Book your ride using your preferred mobile app.
  • Grab is the most widely used e-hailing service in Malaysia. Bolt and AirAsia Ride are also available.
  • Proceed to the designated e-hailing Pick-Up Point after confirming your booking (pick-up is not available directly outside the Arrival Hall).
  • During busy periods, drivers may experience delays due to traffic congestion and queues at the airport pick-up area.

Estimated journey time: 50–70 minutes (up to 90 minutes during peak traffic).

Please note: Highway toll charges may apply and are usually added to the final fare.

Option 3: KLIA Transit + LRT/MRT

This is the most economical option and is best suited for delegates travelling with light luggage.

  1. Take the KLIA Transit from KLIA or KLIA T2 to KL Sentral.
  2. Transfer to:
    • LRT Kelana Jaya Line and alight at KLCC Station (recommended), or
    • MRT Kajang Line and walk via the covered pedestrian walkway to the venue.
  3. Walk to:
    • Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
    • Impiana KLCC Hotel

Estimated total journey time: 55–70 minutes.

Please note: This option requires changing trains and walking between stations. For a smoother journey, we recommend travelling with light luggage and using a Touch ‘n Go card or a contactless payment method where available.

Walking Between Impiana KLCC Hotel and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

Delegates staying at Impiana KLCC Hotel can easily walk to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre via the fully covered KLCC–Bukit Bintang Pedestrian Walkway.

  1. Exit the hotel lobby and follow the signs to the KLCC Covered Pedestrian Walkway.
  2. Take the lift or escalator to the elevated walkway.
  3. Walk approximately 250–300 metres (around 3–5 minutes).
  4. Follow the signs directly into the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Estimated walking time: 5–10 minutes.

Please note: The entire route is fully sheltered and suitable for wheeled luggage.
